Key Benefits
Why Choose Matrix?
Matrix provides application-focused gear oil filtration solutions combining magnetic and in-depth filtration technologies to help industries maintain oil cleanliness, protect critical lubrication systems and extend equipment service life.
Advanced Gear Oil Filtration & Cleaning System
The Matrix Gear Oil Filtration Machine is designed to remove fine particles, ferrous wear debris, sludge and other contaminants from gear oil. The system combines magnetic filtration and advanced in-depth filtration technology to help maintain oil cleanliness, protect gears and bearings, extend oil service life and support reliable gearbox operation.
Gear oil can become contaminated with metal wear particles generated by gears, bearings and other moving components. These contaminants can accelerate wear and affect lubrication performance. Effective offline oil filtration helps control contamination and maintain cleaner gear oil without frequent oil replacement.
How Does Our Advanced In-Depth & Magnetic Filtration Technology Work?
The Matrix Gear Oil Filtration Machine combines magnetic separation with multi-layer, in-depth filtration to provide comprehensive contamination control.
Contaminated gear oil first passes through the magnetic filtration stage, where ferrous particles, iron fines and magnetic wear debris are captured. The oil then passes through high-performance cellulose filter media, where fine non-magnetic particles, carbon, sludge and other suspended contaminants are captured throughout the depth of the filter media.
Depending on the filtration configuration, the filter media can also help absorb free and dissolved moisture from the oil.
The combination of magnetic filtration and in-depth filtration helps maintain cleaner gear oil, reduce contamination-related wear and protect critical gears, bearings and lubrication components.
Oil Cleanliness & Contamination Control
Maintaining the required oil cleanliness level is important for protecting gears, bearings and other precision components. The Matrix filtration system helps control particulate contamination and supports high levels of oil cleanliness.
The filtration system is designed to support NAS 1638 Class 6 levels of filtration, depending on the initial oil condition, filtration cycles and operating parameters. ISO 4406 is another widely recognised international method used to classify particulate cleanliness in hydraulic and lubrication fluids.
Oil Viscosity & Filtration Compatibility
The filtration system can be configured for gear oils across a wide range of viscosities, depending on oil grade, operating temperature, contamination level and required flow rate.
Typical viscosity range: 10–420 CST, subject to system configuration and application requirements.
